(BRC) Basic Rider Course
This course is for new riders
or those returning to the sport.

COURSE DETAILS
This is a two consecutive day course:

You will be taught the basics of motorcycle operation and safety-oriented mental strategies.

MANDATORY RIDING GEAR:

DOT Helmet
(we supply if needed) -
Sturdy, over the ankle BOOTS
(not canvas) -
Long sleeve shirt or jacket

Long denim JEANS (no holes)

Full-fingered gloves

REQUIREMENTS

Complete MSF eCourse before class.

PREREQUISITES

Basic knowledge of road & traffic regulations.

Be able to ride or balance a bicycle.

Helpful to have a valid driver's license.

Age 15
-
Those under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present Saturday morning to sign course waivers.

Student will need to take the car road test at dmv.

SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION
The BRC is conducted at a pace that results in successful completion for most novice riders. Our rider coaches will help you learn to the best of your ability.
To successfully complete the course, you must:

Attend and Participate in ALL sessions.

Achieve a passing score on a

knowledge test
-
riding-skill evaluation.

UPON COURSE COMPLETION
Successful BRC graduates will:

Have both the written and riding tests waived at the TN DMV for your "M" license.
